Sensory Learning Support Assistant Location: Sunderland Contract: Full-time, Long-term Start Date: Immediate Are you creative, patient, and passionate about helping children learn through their senses? We’re looking for a Sensory Learning Support Assistant to join a warm, specialist environment where pupils with complex needs can thrive through tailored sensory experiences and individualised learning. What you’ll be doing: Supporting pupils aged 4–19 with autism, sensory processing needs, and Physical disabilities. Developing and delivering sensory-based activities and interventions that cater to the unique needs of each pupil. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless transitions between settings. Providing emotional support and building positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues. Experience working with children with complex needs would be advantageous. Ability to work flexibly within a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
