Roche Diagnostics in Rotkreuz (ZG), the world leader in in-vitro diagnostics, is looking for a team-oriented, inquisitive and self-reliant person for their Product Care Team Sensor Development Engineer (a) The Product Care Team develops, characterizes and optimizes different electrochemical sensors for medical devices in the area of IVD diagnostics. In particular, they are interested in the parameters of gasses (O2 & CO2), electrolytes (pH, Na, K, Ca2 & Cl-) and metabolites (Glucose & Lactate) in blood and other biological fluids. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in electrochemistry, sensor technology and analytical chemistry, as well as experience in the development and characterization of electrochemical sensors. Furthermore, the ability to work in a team, to be flexible and to have a strong interest in the field of in-vitro diagnostics are essential. The tasks will include the development and optimization of electrochemical sensors, the characterization of sensor performance, the evaluation of sensor data and the collaboration with other teams. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and to contribute to the development of innovative medical devices.
