Senior Physiotherapist/Team Leader
Location: South-East Melbourne (Full-time Clinic-Based)

Are you an experienced Physiotherapist ready to step into a leadership role where you can influence clinical quality, mentor a growing team, and still keep your hands in the work you love?

This role is perfect for a senior clinician who thrives on coaching others, lifting team standards, and shaping best practice physiotherapy services. You’ll lead a team of 3–6 Physiotherapists across a busy multidisciplinary environment, while managing your own varied caseload.

As the Senior Physiotherapist / Team Leader, you will:

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with planning and evaluating clinical programs
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and best-practice updates
  • Supervise, mentor, and provide regular check-ins for Physiotherapists
  • Support team members with caseload management and KPI expectations
  • Lead team meetings and act as the escalation point for complex cases
  • Maintain a clinical caseload (~80% utilisation)
  • Complete assessments, treatment plans, and high-quality documentation
  • Liaise with GPs, surgeons, TAC and other stakeholders on client progress
  • Support clients with goal-setting and ongoing progress
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case reviews
  • Guide clinicians with best-practice, goal-directed care planning
  • Contribute to accreditation, service development, and process improvement
  • Attend staff meetings, PD, and networking events
  • Collaborate with the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Maintain ongoing professional development
About You:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy
  • AHPRA registration + APA membership
  • First Aid, CPR, WWCC, and Professional Indemnity Insurance
  • Driver’s licence
  • Minimum 4 years physiotherapy experience
  • Experience leading, supervising, or mentoring clinicians
  • Strong understanding of clinical operations, healthcare workflows, and resource allocation
  • Excellent communication with clients, clinicians, and external partners
  • A passion for client-centred care and high-quality clinical outcomes
  • Confidence using clinic software, databases, and Microsoft Office
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused approach
