Senior WordPress Developer

• Minimum 5 years of experience in developing and maintaining WordPress projects in production.
• Experience in developing custom themes and plugins, with a solid understanding of hooks, actions, filters, and WordPress APIs.
• Solid knowledge of WordPress, WooCommerce, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL/MariaDB.
• Hands-on experience working with Elementor or other builders and GSAP.
• Experience in integrating third-party services via REST API and webhooks, including Stripe, as well as implementing or managing btags for affiliate tracking.
• Experience working with Git, WP-CLI, and in deployment processes between development, staging, and production.
• Experience in administering WordPress hosting via cPanel and Cloudflare, including updates, backups, and restores.
• Demonstrable experience in WordPress security: hardening, vulnerability management, malware cleanup, permissions, and plugin auditing.
• Experience in performance optimization: profiling, Core Web Vitals, query optimization, database optimization, and cron job optimization.
• Solid PHP/JavaScript debugging skills and experience in investigating production incidents.
• Experience in code review and applying coding standards.
• Technical ownership: ability to evaluate solutions, make technical decisions, and take responsibility for them.
• Good organizational, prioritization, and collaboration skills with other teams, including non-technical ones.
• Good knowledge of Romanian and English, written and oral.

• Relevant senior-level experience with WordPress projects in production.

• Analyzing requirements and implementing interfaces with a strong focus on UI and UX, developing, testing, and maintaining existing and new WordPress applications and websites.
• Developing WordPress and WooCommerce functionalities, building interfaces in Elementor, Divi, Bricks Builder, or Gutenberg, and creating animations with GSAP.
• Integrating external services via REST API and webhooks, including Stripe payments, implementing affiliate tracking (btags), and technical SEO configuration.
• Administering and securing applications and hosting via cPanel, including updates, access control, backups, and restores.
• Identifying and remediating vulnerabilities and malware infections.
• Optimizing performance and scalability: caching, query optimization, database optimization, cron job optimization, profiling, and improving Core Web Vitals.
• Monitoring platforms, debugging PHP/JavaScript, and investigating and remediating production incidents.
• Defining and applying coding standards, code review, and documenting solutions.
• Collaborating with other teams within the group.
