Senior UX/UI Designer (m/w/d)

Hi, we are SafeNow!

A startup that has made it its mission to provide security to every person in the world – and for free. To do this, we develop an app that gives you immediate access to locally relevant helpers, whether they're your friends, family, or professional helpers.

We are a small team with a big heart, located in Munich, consisting of 46 people from 9 different nationalities. We are looking for a passionate new team member who loves tackling new challenges in a fast-paced startup environment. We are a colorful mix of honest and open-minded people who share a common vision to make the world a safer place for us and the people and places we love.

We are seeking support in the UX/UI area to further align our products with real people and be there for them in important moments.

Tasks

• Menschzentrierte Arbeit: You develop digital products from the user's perspective. You understand their needs and challenges and find solutions that really resonate with them and simplify their daily lives.
• User Research: You plan and lead interviews, surveys, and usability tests. This way, you gain insights that directly influence your design decisions.
• Entwicklung von Konzepten und Flows: You translate requirements into clear concepts, user flows, information architectures, and wireframes. For this, you choose suitable methods like storyboards or user journeys to make your ideas visible and understandable.
• Interface Gestaltung: You develop UI designs and components based on our existing design system and continuously expand it. You pay attention to accessibility (WCAG), edge cases, and responsiveness, so that our products remain reliable, user-friendly, and intuitive.
• Prototypen erstellen und testen: You build interactive prototypes, design micro-interactions, and test them with users.
• Präsentation und Moderation: You present concepts and designs convincingly to stakeholders, moderate workshops like requirement analyses or journey mappings, and support decisions effectively.
• Enge Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Teams: You coordinate closely with product management and development to ensure that implementation and design quality go hand in hand.
• Unterstützung des Teams: You accompany and coach junior designers, provide constructive feedback, and help the team raise design quality further.

Requirements

• Erfahrung im UX/UI Design: At least 5 years of professional experience in designing digital products and apps, ideally in a rapidly growing startup or dynamic environment.
• Menschenverständnis: You recognize the needs and challenges of users, can put yourself in sensitive situations, and develop solutions that are easy to use and positively experienced.
• Analytische und datenbasierte Arbeitsweise: You combine research, user data, and feedback to make informed design decisions.
• Klare und überzeugende Kommunikation: You present ideas clearly, argue convincingly, and find solutions that are well-suited for implementation with stakeholders.
• Übernahme von Verantwortung: You work independently, bring your own ideas, and actively shape the product development process.
• Kollaborative und offene Arbeitsweise: You appreciate a diverse team, foster respectful collaboration, and communicate fluently in German and English.
