Role: Senior UX Engineer – Design Systems

About the Role

We are looking for a UX Engineer who can bridge the gap between Design and Engineering by building, maintaining, and scaling design systems across multiple products.

This role requires a combination of frontend engineering expertise and design systems experience. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working closely with Product Designers, translating Figma designs into reusable, accessible, and production-ready components.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and evolve scalable Design Systems
• Develop reusable UI components and shared component libraries
• Translate Figma designs into production-ready frontend components
• Define and maintain design tokens, theming, and UI standards
• Ensure accessibility compliance (WCAG standards)
• Partner with Product Design and Engineering teams to drive consistency across products
• Create documentation, guidelines, and governance for design system adoption
• Improve developer experience through reusable architecture and frontend best practices
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and component audits

Required Skills

• 6-12 years of experience in Frontend Engineering, UX Engineering, UI Engineering, or Design Systems
• Hands-on experience building or maintaining Design Systems
• Experience creating reusable Component Libraries
• Strong proficiency in React and/or Angular
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3/SCSS
• Experience with Figma
• Experience with Storybook
• Understanding of Design Tokens and Theming
• Experience implementing Accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Strong collaboration skills with Product Designers and Engineers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on SaaS or Enterprise products
• Dashboard and workflow-driven product experience
• Experience with Monorepo architecture (Nx, Turborepo)
• CI/CD exposure
• Performance optimization experience
• Design System Governance experience
