Senior UX / Digital Product Designer (Mensch)

We are looking for an experienced developer, who masters the entire digital product development process and can lead projects independently in dynamic agency contexts and project environments. The candidate should be able to operate strategically as well as operationally at a senior level.

Taikonauten develops digital products, services, and platforms for organizations from industries such as Finance, FinTech, Mobility, and Industrial & Manufacturing. We support companies in developing their digital offerings in the context of digital transformation, product innovation, and acceleration strategically and sustainably. **Your Mission
**You lead digital product developments with conceptual clarity, methodological security, and design excellence. You bring structure to complex and initially unclear problem statements, make informed design decisions, and argue these against customers and internal teams. In doing so, you take responsibility – not just for screens, but for product quality, user-centeredness, and project dynamics. You connect business goals with genuine user needs and lead projects from the discovery phase to validation. In doing so, you work closely with customers, developers, and interdisciplinary teams together and set quality standards in UX, visual design, and conceptual clarity.

Tasks

• Responsibility for the entire UX and product design process (Discovery to Delivery)
• Structuring unclear problem statements (Problem Framing, Scope, Hypotheses)
• Bringing your professional perspective and consulting style into collaboration with customers
• Developing robust UX concepts for complex digital products
• Creating information architectures, user journeys, and end-to-end flows
• Translating requirements into testable UX specifications
• Planning and conducting qualitative research formats (interviews, tests, workshops)
• Synthesizing insights and deriving sustainable recommendations
• Conceptualizing and developing high-quality UI designs and design systems
• Moderating workshops for project initialization, goal definition, and prioritization
• Arguing UX and design decisions against stakeholders
• Closely collaborating with development teams during implementation
• Independently structuring complex project phases

Qualification

Experience & Competence

• Long-term experience in UX/Product Design
• Mult-year agency experience with parallel projects and changing customers
• Fundamental expertise in strategically conceptual UX design
• Numerous end-to-end experiences in digital product development
• Fundamental expertise in user research and quantitative/qualitative analysis
• Able to derive data-based hypotheses and validate them
• Very high standards for visual quality (layout, typography, design systems)
• Strategic understanding of digital strategy and service design
• Sovereign moderation in German (at least B2, ideally C1)
• Familiarity with Figma

• Claiming design quality actively representing and defending it

• Experience with complex B2B or enterprise platforms
• Data analysis experience (Analytics, Conversion Optimization)
• Experience with agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, etc.)
• Basic understanding of technical architecture (APIs, frontend structures)
• Experience in building or scaling design systems
• Experience working with KI tools as well as KI-supported processes and workflows
• International project experience
