Job description

Senior UX Designer (m/w/d), Remote, Full-time, fixed-term 2 years

We are looking for an experienced German-speaking Senior UX Designer (m/w/d), who supports us in all phases of the design process.

New Monday is a digital agency from Berlin, which works 100% remotely. Our clients include well-known companies like ZDF, Porsche, RTL, the Federal Printing Office, E.ON, and modern startups like gitti conscious beauty or NUMA Hospitality.

As an employer, we stand out especially through flat hierarchies, our agile mindset, and a New Work Approach. All our New Monday Team Members work 100% remotely (Home Office), but are still connected with each other thanks to our positive Remote Culture (learn more about it in the section 'Benefits').

Aufgaben

  • Konzeption and Gestaltung user-centered digital products and services (Web and App) for B2B- and B2C-contexts.
  • Planning, execution, and evaluation of user research (qualitatively and quantitatively), including deriving concrete recommendations for product and design decisions.
  • Konzeption, Moderation, and Nachbereitung of workshops with stakeholders and project teams – both remotely and on-site.
  • Development of information architectures, user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
  • Close cooperation with product management, development, and other stakeholders for iterative further development of digital products.
  • Analysis of existing digital products regarding usability, conversion, and user needs, and deriving optimization measures.
  • Structuring and steering complex UX projects within interdisciplinary teams.
  • Ensuring consistent user experiences while considering design systems and established UX standards.
  • Presentation and communication of concepts, research results, and design decisions to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Konzeption and optimization of digital solutions in the context of financial and insurance products, taking into account complex business processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Consideration of UX-writing aspects to improve understanding, user guidance, and conversion.

Qualifikation

  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the field of UX/UI design and UX research.
  • Experience in managing and steering complex UX projects.
  • Fundamental experience in planning, executing, and evaluating user research (qualitatively and quantitatively) in B2B- and B2C-contexts.
  • Umfangreiche Erfahrung in der Konzeption, Moderation, and Nachbereitung von Workshops – sowohl vor Ort als auch remote.
  • Knowledge of the financial or insurance sector (e.g., banking, FinTech, insurance).
  • Very good knowledge of Interaction Design, Information Architecture, and Wireframing and Prototyping.
  • Secure handling of common design tools, especially Figma.
  • Experience in working with larger organizations or corporate structures.
  • Knowledge of UX Writing of advantage.
  • Analytical, structured thinking, and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Very good understanding of current usability and conversion best practices.
  • Communication and presentation skills, as well as excellent teamwork and empathy.
  • Fluent German skills in writing and speaking.

Benefits

  • Great people, super atmosphere, dynamic team, agile working style.
  • Sweet spot between corporate routine and creative agency life: At our company, you don't have to juggle hundreds of projects simultaneously, but are always only assigned to a single project.
  • The possibility to work remotely throughout Germany, as well as occasionally in the EU abroad, within the legal framework.
  • A monthly budget for meetings on-site with your colleagues, which you can use as you like (team days in a co-working space, but just as well for a common lunch, dinner, after-work-drinks, etc.).
  • Regular digital team evenings and other cool digital events.
  • Meetings on-site with the entire team in our unofficial hub Berlin once or twice a year.
  • Weekly learning sessions in the team and other opportunities for your personal and professional development (further education, certification acquisition, etc.).
  • Independent, flexible work without micromanagement.

So goes it

  • First getting-to-know-you with HR
‍You learn our working style and philosophy
You have the opportunity to introduce yourself
We answer all your questions in a relaxed atmosphere
    ‍
  • Presentation meeting with our co-founders Laura Nielsen and Dario Zampetti
    Deeper getting-to-know-you
    Opportunity to ask questions
    ‍
  • Follow-Up
You will receive a design challenge beforehand, in which you can unleash your creativity. The results will be presented in the Follow-Up.
You will then have the opportunity to have a one-on-one conversation with one of your future colleagues and ask all the questions that may still be on your mind.

‍So let's get started! We look forward to your application.

To make it simple, we'd rather do without a cover letter. Just send us your resume, even if you feel you don't meet 100% of the requirements.

New Monday actively promotes equal opportunities for all employees. We welcome all applicants, regardless of gender, ethnic, cultural, and social background, age, religion, worldview, disability, and sexual identity of the person. People with disabilities will be given preference under equal suitability, taking into account all the circumstances of the individual case.
