As a Senior UI/UX Designer (all genders), you will be responsible in interdisciplinary project teams for the visual design of sophisticated professional applications, portals, and information services – in the public and health sectors as well as in regulated industries of the private sector, for example in the energy sector.

You give complex digital products a clear, independent, and high-quality visual language. From the overarching visual guiding concept to layout, typography, and visual hierarchy, down to the elaboration of components, interactions, and states. This results in responsive, low-barrier, and technically feasible interfaces that create orientation even with high functional complexity.

You move confidently between customer requirements, insights from user research, conceptualization, and visual implementation: You think about design strategically, drive design processes forward, and combine conceptual strength with a high degree of visual precision – also at the interface between design and technical implementation.

For you, design systems are not a by-product, but the backbone of your work: You build them up, keep them consistent across products, and ensure that they are actually adopted in development. And you use AI where it makes your work better: faster to variations and implementation, broader in research and analysis, more consistent in quality assurance – without relinquishing control.

• You are responsible for the design process in customer projects, from the vision and definition of the design language to the final UI. You design visually and functionally demanding user flows and interfaces for complex applications consistently, accessibly, and implementably.
• You provide strategic consulting to our clients and project teams in the further development of their digital products: You combine user perspectives and market observation, present options, and justify design decisions in a way that resonates within the client's organization.
• You are responsible for design systems throughout their entire lifecycle and ensure that the design system is lived within the team: documentation, contribution rules, reviews, and training of colleagues and clients.
• You advise clients at eye level, moderate workshops, and make design decisions understandable – even to non-design stakeholders. Where product and communication interact, you think about both together.
• You take on the creative lead for bids and tenders and present in pitches.
• You strategically use AI tools in the design process and share your experiences with the team.
• You take on the technical leadership of small UX/UI teams in customer projects, provide impulses to the team through design reviews, quality assurance, and mentoring of colleagues.

Must-haves

• At least 5 years of experience in the conception and design of digital products with a focus on UX and UI design.
• Completed studies in Communication Design, Interaction Design, Media Informatics, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a comparable qualification.
• In-depth experience in the development, application, and further development of design systems, as well as a strong understanding of quality and a keen visual sense of style.
• Confident use of UX methods, the design of complex digital applications, and the requirements for digital accessibility.
• Experience in collaborating with development teams in agile environments, as well as in moderating workshops and presenting design solutions to clients and stakeholders.
• A strong portfolio showcasing your work from problem definition to the final interface, as well as your experience with design systems.
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken.

• Experience in regulated industries such as Public Sector, Health, Energy.
• Experience in the technical leadership of small design teams in customer projects.
• Experience in Art Direction.
• Practical experience with AI-supported products, design processes, prototyping, or code generation.
