You shape digital applications that people actually use – and you don't start thinking from the screen, but from the customer goal and usage problem. As a Senior UI/UX Designer (all genders), you will be responsible in interdisciplinary project teams for the design and user-centricity of complex specialized applications, portals, and information offerings – in the Public and Health sectors, as well as in regulated industries of the private sector, such as the energy sector.

You move confidently between customer requirements, findings from user research, conception, and visual implementation: You think about design strategically, drive design processes forward, and combine conceptual strength with a high degree of visual precision – also at the interface between design and technical implementation. Design systems are not a byproduct for you, but the backbone of your work: You build them, keep them consistent across products, and ensure they are actually adopted in development. And you use AI where it makes your work better: faster for variants and implementation, broader in research and analysis, more consistent in quality assurance – without giving up decision-making.

• You are responsible for the design process in customer projects, from the vision and definition of the design language to the final UI. You design visually and technically demanding user flows and interfaces for complex applications consistently, accessibly, and implementably.
• You strategically advise our clients and project teams on the further development of their digital products: You combine user perspective and market observation, present options, and justify design decisions in a way that resonates within the client's organization.
• You are responsible for design systems throughout their entire lifecycle and ensure that the design system is lived by the team: documentation, contribution rules, reviews, and training of colleagues and clients.
• You advise clients at eye level, moderate workshops, and make design decisions understandable – also to non-design stakeholders. Where product and communication interact, you think of both together.
• You take on the creative lead for proposals and tenders and present in pitches.
• You strategically use AI tools in the design process and share your experiences with the team.
• You take on the technical leadership of small UX/UI teams in customer projects, provide impulses to the team through design reviews, quality assurance, and mentoring of colleagues.

Must-haves

• At least 5 years of experience in the conception and design of digital products with a focus on UX and UI design.
• Completed degree in Communication Design, Interaction Design, Media Informatics, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a comparable qualification.
• In-depth experience in the development, application, and further development of design systems, as well as a strong understanding of quality and a keen visual sense of style.
• Confident use of UX methods, the design of complex digital applications, and the requirements for digital accessibility.
• Experience in collaborating with development teams in agile environments, as well as in moderating workshops and presenting design solutions to clients and stakeholders.
• A strong portfolio showcasing your work from the problem statement to the final interface, as well as your experience with design systems.
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken.

• Experience in regulated industries such as Public Sector, Health, Energy.
• Experience in the technical leadership of small design teams in customer projects.
• Experience in Art Direction.
• Practical experience with AI-supported products, design processes, prototyping, or code generation.
