Job description
🎯 Your objective:
Take the eCommerce experience of one of the most beautiful international outdoor sports brands to the next level: interfaces that convert, elevate the brand, and set a new standard for UI excellence on an international scope.
In 5 hashtags, that looks like 👉 #UIDesign #eCommerce #DesignSystem #International #Outdoor
🍒 on top: you're joining a dream brand, with a really solid UX/UI level and a particularly well-developed Figma design system.
🚀 Your main missions:
Elevate the UI level of all eCommerce journeys: you are expected to be the UI referent for the team, capable of enhancing deliverables, standards, and practices.
Translate user needs, UX insights, and business challenges into clear, effective, and engaging mockups, wireframes, prototypes, and journeys.
Work hand-in-hand with Product Owners, UX Researcher, front-end developers, CRO, eCommerce, and marketing teams to move projects forward smoothly.
Actively contribute to the Figma design system: components, states, documentation, design tokens, consistency of use, and handoff with developers.
Participate in user testing, analyze feedback, challenge design choices, and iterate quickly to improve experience and conversion.
Champion a true strategic design culture: you don't just produce screens, you question, frame, align, and pull the whole team up.
💛 Your team:
The company: a leading international brand in the outdoor sports world, born in the Alps, recognized for its technical and innovative products in skiing, trail running, hiking, mountaineering, and mountain sports.
Your team: the UX/UI team, composed of 4 people. A high-level, agile, and very cross-functional team that works on eCommerce topics as well as other digital tools.
Your manager: the Lead UX/UI for the team. An experienced manager, with agency and client-side background, very pedagogical, autonomous in her management style, solution-oriented, curious, unifying, and already very engaged on AI topics.
Your contacts: Product Owners, developers, UX Researcher, data analyst, CRO, eCommerce, marketing teams, external agencies, and end-users.
💻 Your Working Conditions:
Your office: the company headquarters, located about ten minutes north of Annecy, in a very bright environment, with large spaces, parking, electric charging stations, and a true natural living environment. Carpooling system in place.
Canteen on-site.
Your compensation package:
Base salary: between 60 and 65k€ depending on your experience. Paid over 13 months.
Variable pay: 5% upon achievement of your individual objectives.
Profit-sharing/Incentive: on average one month's salary per year, so about 5k€/year (not guaranteed).
75% coverage of your health insurance and transport pass.
Other benefits: significant discounts on products, private sales, and a very advantageous works council, especially for sports and family activities.
Your schedule:
25 days of paid leave per year.
11 days of RTT (Reduction of Working Time) per year.
Up to 3 days of remote work per week, within a limit of 10 days per month.
Your experience & skills:
You have at least 7 years of experience in UI Design, with a portfolio showcasing ambitious eCommerce projects and a real level of visual quality.
You have a strong command of Figma, design systems, components, interface states, design documentation, and handoff processes with developers.
You have experience working on complex online conversion funnels: ideally eCommerce, or lead generation with a strong focus on funnel/performance.
You speak fluent English; French is a definite plus.
Your personality:
Autonomous and proactive, you seek out information, initiate productive discussions, and can drive your projects forward without constant guidance.
Pedagogical and collaborative, you can rally diverse profiles (PO, devs, marketing, UX, CRO) around clear and well-argued design decisions.
Demanding yet pragmatic, you can defend UI quality while considering technical, performance, accessibility, and feasibility constraints.
My recruiter's opinion on this job:
A fantastic job for a UI Designer looking to level up: a dream international brand, an exceptional living environment in Annecy, concrete eCommerce challenges, and a rare level of design system/UX/product maturity. We are not looking for someone to "make screens", but a true gem capable of challenging, structuring, aligning, and making the eCommerce experience of an iconic brand shine. In short: beautiful design, real product, mountains... Hard to be more appealing!
