Senior Transactor - IPP

Our client, a leading Independent Power Producer, is seeking an experienced Senior Transactor to support large-scale renewable energy projects from bid stage through to financial close . The role requires strong financial modelling skills, commercial structuring expertise, and proven IPP sector experience within South Africa’s REIPPPP framework. Key Responsibilities: Lead transactions from bid submission to financial close within REIPPPP and private PPA frameworks. Build, review, and optimize detailed financial models for project financing purposes. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and refine transaction structures. Provide expert guidance on commercial and financial aspects of projects. Ensure compliance with REIPPPP and private PPA requirements. Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with transactions. Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions. Key Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. 8+ years of experience in the IPP sector, preferably within South Africa. Strong understanding of REIPPPP framework and private PPA structures. Excellent financial modelling skills, including proficiency in MS Excel. Proven track record of successful transaction execution.
