(Senior) Structural Designer with Focus on Computational Design

Tasks
- Design and calculation of complex structures in high-rise and engineering construction throughout all performance phases
- Parametric and algorithmic design for structure finding, variant generation, and optimization
- Development and further development of own tools, scripts, and workflows (e.g., in Grasshopper, Python, C#)
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with architecture, planning, and other disciplines
- Depending on experience: professional guidance and mentoring for junior engineers
- Active shaping of our digital processes and planning methods
Qualification
- Degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural design / statics
- Multiple years of professional experience in an architectural firm or similar
- Very good understanding of structural design connections and process
- Experience or strong interest in Computational Design and parametric methods
- Pleasure in combining structure, code, and geometry
- Practical knowledge in Rhino & Grasshopper (additional plus points for Python, C#, APIs)
- Safe handling of calculation and modeling software like RSTAB, RFEM, Revit (or comparable)
- Pleasure in combining structure, code, and geometry
- Fluent German language skills and good English language skills
- Curiosity, self-initiative, and the desire to grow professionally and methodically over the long term
