Senior Traffic and Transport Engineer

Job Title: Senior Traffic and Transport Engineer Location: Cape Town Job Description: The Senior Traffic and Transport Engineer will be responsible for leading and managing transportation projects, transport planning, and infrastructure design. This role will involve overseeing the entire project lifecycle from conceptualization to completion, ensuring that all transportation systems are safe, efficient, and sustainable. The perfect candidate should possess a robust expertise in traffic analysis, traffic modeling, and traffic simulation software. He/she must also have experience with transportation planning, traffic engineering, and infrastructure design. In addition, the ideal candidate will be able to work effectively with stakeholders, including government agencies, private sector companies, and community groups. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing transportation plans and projects that meet the needs of all stakeholders; • Conducting traffic studies and analyzing data to inform project decisions; • Designing and managing infrastructure projects, such as road networks, public transport systems, and pedestrian/cycle facilities; • Collaborating with other engineers, planners, and stakeholders to develop innovative solutions for complex transportation challenges. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in traffic engineering, transportation planning, or infrastructure design.
