Senior TMR Operator - Dairy Farm

Apt Resources is looking for a Senior TMR (Total Mixed Ration) Operator to join a dairy farm team. In this role, you will oversee the operation of TMR mixers and ensure the production of high-quality feed rations for dairy cattle, contributing to the overall health and productivity of the herd. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in dairy nutrition, TMR preparation, and the management of feeding programs. Responsibilities Operate and maintain TMR mixer trucks and related feeding equipment. Ensure accurate weighing and mixing of feed ingredients according to established formulas and nutritional guidelines. Monitor feed quality and make adjustments as needed to optimize animal performance. Manage feed inventory and storage, ensuring proper handling and preservation of feedstuffs. Maintain accurate records of feed consumption, ingredient usage, and equipment maintenance. Train and supervise other feeding staff, providing guidance and support. Collaborate with the farm manager, nutritionist, and other team members to optimize feeding strategies. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Requirements Proven experience as a TMR operator in a dairy farm setting. In-depth knowledge of dairy cattle nutrition and feeding practices. Proficiency in operating and maintaining TMR mixer trucks and related equipment. Ability to accurately weigh and mix feed ingredients according to established formulas. Strong understanding of feed quality control and animal health. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications Certification in TMR operations or related field. Experience with computerized feeding systems.
