Senior Test Automation Engineer – Robot Framework, Xray, Appium (m/f/d)

Your tasks

You will work in an agile customer project at a large corporation. The team develops a mobile app for Android and iOS with connected services. You will ensure that it functions reliably.

• Build and develop automated tests with Robot Framework for Web, API, and Mobile (Playwright and Appium)
• Conduct integrative tests across multiple services and connected systems
• Derive manual test cases from requirements, define, execute, and document them in Xray
• Co-develop the test strategy and ensure sufficient test coverage
• Analyze and validate test data with SQL
• Version test code in Git/GitLab, work within the Scrum team inside SAFe

Assignments are predominantly remote. Customer appointments are usually in Frankfurt, with occasional on-site days.

Where you will land

Depending on the project, with large corporations, in the public sector, or with enterprise and medium-sized customers. Our clients almost exclusively staff these projects with permanent employees. That's why we are looking for you on a permanent basis.

What you bring

We expect:

• More than three years of experience with Robot Framework (from version 6 onwards): building and implementing automated test cases
• More than five years of test management with Xray
• More than five years of development and further development of test automation for web, API, and mobile applications
• Practical experience in automated execution of mobile app tests (Android and iOS) with Appium (from version 3 onwards)
• More than three years of analysis and validation of data with SQL

Advantageous (not mandatory):

• Extensive experience in test design: deriving structured test cases from requirements
• Experience with manual testing from planning to documentation
• Experience as a tester in agile projects, ideally in SAFe
• Initial experience with AI support in writing test cases and test automation

Project language is German

You will work in the customer's team, in German, in meetings and in documentation. We expect German at C1 level or better.
