Senior Test Engineer and System Maintenance Architect

In the Service Ingénierie Parts & Overhaul, you will participate in the development of the expertise center for design and maintenance of industrial test equipment production and laboratory. We have a mission to ensure validation and maintenance of different systems, which involves setting up test equipment.

Mission:
The senior test engineer and system maintenance architect is responsible for the activities assigned to them, from offer phase to maintenance phase. They are responsible for designing different test benches and maintaining their operational condition. They ensure interface between project, engineering teams, methods, operations, and support functions (Purchasing, Supply,...) to successfully deliver offers and execute projects.

For each project assigned to them, they are responsible for estimating engineering costs, writing technical offers, and executing projects.

The second activity is maintenance level 4 on deposited systems, which corresponds to the job of a system maintenance engineer. For this activity, it is essential to know how to write a maintenance consistency by developing different phases of maintenance and identifying elements to review (systematic, conditional, or corrective).

Responsibilities:

  • Perform an analysis of conformity to requirements and/or a clause-by-clause review of technical documents and identify gaps and risks;
  • Coordinate, from a technical standpoint, with internal stakeholders and external parties to ensure global understanding of the technical strategy for the offer;
  • Consolidate applicable technical hypotheses for the offer;
  • Estimate engineering times needed to perform activities in correlation with technical hypotheses;
  • Prepare and direct a technical proposal until approval of the offer;
  • Contribute to improving our offers and technical solutions;
  • Lead electrical and mechanical design of test benches;
  • Write a complete maintenance consistency for a railway system;
  • Report on progress of team activities and alert the team leader in case of potential problem impacting project realization;
  • Participate in project governance within their perimeter to capture important information for the team and organize priorities accordingly;
  • Have a proactive and stimulating vision of global studies of the railway system performed by the team to improve their coherence and conformity with applicable instructions and directives;
  • Provide feedback on application of processes;

Profile sought:

  • A degree in industrial engineering, you have experience in mechanical and electrical integration engineering in the industrial sector;
  • At least 5 years of experience in the industrial sector;
  • At least 3 years of experience in technical project management;
  • Knowledge to coordinate and federate a technical team.
