(Senior) Test Automation Engineer (m/w/d)

We are looking for an engaged software tester / QA engineer, who is passionate about ensuring that our applications run error-free, performant, and user-friendly.

Aufgaben

• Test Automation: You develop and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, and end-to-end tests) and continuously build our test automation.
• Test Architecture: You design our test frameworks with, ensure maintainability and scalability, and bring best practices in.
• Performance & Load Tests: You build our performance and load tests from scratch using Azure tools to analyze how changes affect our web apps, and help the team identify bottlenecks early on.
• CI/CD Integration: You integrate tests into our pipelines so that quality becomes a fixed part of our development process.
• Test Planning & Design: You create test strategies and test cases to systematically ensure the quality of our software.
• Manual & Exploratory Testing: Where automation is not sensible, you conduct targeted manual and exploratory tests.
• Error Analysis & Reporting: You find bugs, document them clearly, and work closely with development teams to develop solutions.
• Continuous Improvement: You optimize test processes, bring in new tools and methods (including AI-based) and help the team improve software quality continuously.

Qualifikation

• Educational Background & Experience: You have a degree in computer science, economics, or equivalent training or practical experience.
• Test Expertise: You have experience in test automation of web applications, know manual testing methods, and are familiar with test frameworks like xUnit.
• Tech Stack: You are proficient in C# and have ideally already worked with .NET (including current versions) and Entity Framework Core. Experience with API testing (e.g., Postman, RestSharp) is a plus.
• CI/CD & Cloud: You have experience integrating tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines. Ideally, you are also familiar with performance testing tools (e.g., Azure Load Testing) and Azure (including Web Apps, Application Insights).
• Clean Code: You understand the importance of clean code and write tests that are maintainable and comprehensible.
• Ai-Mindset: For you, AI is neither hype nor threat, but a fixed part of modern software development - and you want to continuously develop yourself and your work processes with new technologies.
• Team Spirit: You actively participate in meetings, think with the team, and support teams in implementing best practices in the QA area.
