Senior Test Analyst - 12 Month Fixed Term

Te Tūranga - The Role
We're excited to welcome a Senior Test Engineer to our team on a 12-month fixed term basis, who will play a vital role in elevating the quality of our systems-including cloud services, on-premises deployments, mobile applications, and embedded devices. We need someone comfortable with jumping in and being hands on but also someone who enjoys sharing knowledge, mentoring others, and leaving things better than they found them. This is a collaborative position where you'll be close to the code, the systems and the people building them.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Building and maintaining automated tests across cloud, mobile, and embedded platforms
- Working closely with developers and product teams to catch issues early and continuously improve improve quality.
- Improving our CI/CD pipelines and test infrastructure
- Helping shape how we approach test automation and quality engineering as a team, including sharing experience through code reviews, pairing, mentoring, and technical discussions as well as evolving existing test frameworks.
- Automated Test framework design & implementation, as well as investigation and evaluation of design and test processes, test tools, - equipment and third-party components. As well as test planning and coordination.
Ō pūkenga - About You
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- At least 5 years' experience in test automation for complex systems as well as good foundational understanding of manual testing.
- Strong Python skills
- Hands-on experience with GitLab pipelines and runners
- Practical experience with:
- Test automation for embedded Linux systems
- Test automation for AOSP
- Linux-based environments
- The Behave testing framework (BDD)
- Experience working with Docker
- A mindset focused on learning, teaching, and continuous improvement clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to work
