Are you looking for a technically highly demanding position where you perfect the interplay between building and state-of-the-art robotics?

As Senior Technical Operations Manager (m/f/d), you are the technical mastermind behind our highly complex, fully automated Fulfillment Center (FC) in Oberhausen. You operate at a macro-technical level and, with your deep technical know-how, ensure that building infrastructure and advanced automation technology work together like a single, flawless organism. While a separate Automation Team takes care of the pure Material Handling Equipment (MHE), you manage the big picture: You handle high budgets, complex service contracts, and ensure technical operational readiness in an absolute high-stakes environment.

What awaits you

• Responsibility: You bear sole responsibility for the technical condition and operational safety of the automated FC. You bridge the gap between building services and logistics processes.
• Stakeholder Management: You are the primary strategic point of contact for site management and interact at eye level with Automation & Engineering Leadership.
• Crisis Management: In the event of critical system failures, you maintain an overview, coordinate highly specialized service providers under massive time pressure, and conduct razor-sharp root cause analyses.
• Budget Management: You lead highly complex, large-volume technical projects (CAPEX/OPEX) and manage specialized contracts (e.g., for highly developed cooling and IoT systems).
• Innovation: You utilize advanced data models and IoT infrastructure tools to proactively solve systemic problems and drive network-wide innovations.

What you bring with you

• A completed degree (Bachelor or Master) in Facility Management, Building Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
• 5-7 years of sound professional experience in technical facility management, ideally in the support of highly automated logistics centers (e.g., with TGW, Dematic, or Vanderlande systems).
• Fluent German, very good English skills, and a driver's license class B.
• Conceptual, abstract thinking at a macro level combined with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear operational steps.
• A strong Act-like-an-Owner mentality. You set exceptionally high technical standards and defend FM requirements even under operational pressure.
