Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

We sat down with our Engineering Lead, and they let us know the following about the tūranga (role). Please note that this role is Auckland based.

What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?

Being part of a transformative phase where the Archer Grace platform is evolving to support enterprise-level GRC capabilities.

The role offers significant technical ownership, with opportunities to shape architecture, automation, and integrations. Exposure cloud infrastructure and the chance to work with cross-functional teams on impactful risk and compliance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for the Archer Risk Management platform, handling application change requests and escalated issues that involve deeper analysis, configuration knowledge, or cross‑system troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, escalating to infrastructure team or vendor for support when necessary.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to maintain platform stability and performance.
• Monitor system health, perform routine maintenance, Vulnerability /certificate management, and apply patches or upgrades as required.
• Document solutions, processes, and known issues to improve support efficiency and knowledge sharing.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in Level 2 application configuration, development and or support for enterprise-grade applications such as Archer, Coupa, SAP, or ServiceNow.
• Ability to analyse logs, diagnose application errors, and perform root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with incident management and ITIL processes.
• Experience working in environments with strict compliance and security requirements.
• Competence in managing integrations and data flows between enterprise systems.

Preferred Attributes

• Understanding of risk management platforms and their role in enterprise governance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with technical teams and business users.
• Proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks before they impact service.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to evolving business needs.

What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this tūranga?

• Result-drive, strong customer focus mindset, and excellent communication skills
• Experience with configuration and support of Enterprise scale software.
• Proficient with data analysis to support decision making 
• Experience applying regulatory risk, security, and data compliance requirements to solutions
• Experience working in Risk governance preferably RSA Archer (GRACE)
• Experience on AWS, coding in Java Script and Python preferred.

What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role would complete?

• Participation in Design workshops for new Business Continuity and 3rd Party Risk features
• Archer Application configuration, enhancements, trouble shooting and incident management.
• Software Vulnerability management
• Managing integrations, workflows between upstream and downstream systems.
• Supporting platform upgrades, patches, and ongoing enhancements while maintaining best practices.

What is the most challenging part of this role?

Balancing multiple concurrent priorities across projects, enhancements, and production support. Working in a complex risk ecosystem with several integrations and stakeholders, requiring strong coordination skills. Driving change and influencing best practices rapidly.
