Senior Technical Draughtsman

The Senior Technical Draughtsman will be responsible for creating detailed manufacturing drawings and documentation for steel and timber shopfitting fixtures. Working closely with clients, project managers, and the production team, the draughtsman will ensure accuracy and efficiency in the manufacturing process. This role requires proficiency in SolidWorks, and the ability to work in both 2D and 3D formats. Key Responsibilities: Drawing Preparation: Interpret client-provided drawings, artist impressions, and technical specifications to create accurate and detailed manufacturing drawings. Ensure drawings are complete, accurate, and meet client requirements. Coordinate with clients and project managers to clarify any design or technical issues. Manufacturing Process: Collaborate with the production team to ensure manufacturing processes are efficient and accurate. Identify and resolve any manufacturing issues or defects. Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure manufactured products meet client specifications and quality standards. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Technical Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks, with the ability to work in both 2D and 3D formats. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials. Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Education: Bachelor's degree in Draughtsmanship, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the shopfitting or manufacturing industry. Certifications: None specified.
