Defence Equipment Management Organisation (DEMO) is responsible for providing proactive, responsive and effective strategic in-service, life cycle fleet management and integrated logistic support (ILS) advice to support delivery of the NZDF's outputs.
Using your sound healthcare and/or clinical knowledge, the STA Medical Devices proactively manages and advises on the suitability and availability of Class 8 consumables for use within NZDF, both domestically and operationally in order for NZDF to meet its health output requirements.
The role also provides technical advice on fleet management, procurement, clinical and organisational needs in support of the greater Health Service.
This role is based in Trentham.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
* At least five years' clinical experience and hold a relevant Health professional qualification e.g. Registered Nurse, Paramedicine or Allied Health preferable.
* Sound health equipment, commodities management and logistics expertise in areas such as clinical support, supply chain management and safety assurance.
* Strong health and clinical knowledge and practical advice expertise including ability to respond to diverse enquiries.
* Strong skills in managing and assuring health commodities or equipment against relevant legislation and standards e.g. codes of practice.
* The ability to advise on the procurement and management of new commodities and their through life support, including product evaluation, acquisition and tendering methods and support.
* Sound skills in analysing and utilising complex health, equipment fleet or supply chain data and reports to develop effective improvements, including technical subject reporting skills.
This role requires domestic travel within NZ and occasional travel overseas.
You need to have a Class 1 Full Driver's Licence.
