Senior Tech Deal Manager: M&A & Transformation

A leading global consulting firm in Johannesburg is looking for a Senior Manager in Deal Management. This role involves leading technology due diligence, advising clients on M&A transactions, and developing integration strategies. Candidates should possess strong technology insight, analytical skills, and experience in a consulting environment. You will guide clients through complex transactions while mentoring junior staff, contributing to a collaborative team culture and influencing key decisions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the technology landscape, be able to analyze complex data sets, and develop effective strategies for integration. This role requires strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as excellent presentation skills. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. In addition, you should be willing to travel frequently (up to 50%) and work flexible hours when required. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. A Master's degree is an asset. Professional certifications such as CFA, CAIA, or CTP are desirable. You should be proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI would be an advantage. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the consulting industry.
