As (Senior) Team Lead SoftwareDevelopment, you bring seniority, structure, and quality to our people-leadership level. You are responsible for directly managing engineers, setting standards for excellent people management, and working closely with our Head of, on organizational-, culture- and architecture-related topics. This role does not stand above but alongside existing team leads – as an experienced peer who exerts influence through competence, clarity, and example. With the growth of the organization, the position offers a clear development perspective.

• You take on direct people-management responsibility for 8-9 engineers across multiple product teams, including 1:1s, performance reviews, career- and salary discussions
• You develop and establish a consistent people-management operating model for all team leads
• Together with the Head of Engineering, you are responsible for performance cycles and moderates organization-wide calibrations
• You actively participate in interview loops and improve onboarding- and growth experiences for new engineers
• As an experienced contact person, you support Product, Business, and HR in organizational- and team-relevant questions
• You strengthen our engineering organization by building the engineering ladder, job structure, and relevant KPIs
• You remain technically close to the codebase with a ca. 20-30% hands-on share, participate in architecture reviews, and support the modernization of our systems

Your Strengths

• Your several-year experience as an engineering manager or team lead with multiple direct reports and a solid software-engineering background distinguishes you
• You move safely in matrix organizations with separate product- and people-leadership
• You conduct difficult feedback conversations, performance topics, and active career development structured and empathetically
• Strategic thinking on organizational-, process- and cultural-level comes easily to you
• Your technical understanding wins the trust of engineers and brings you substantively into architecture discussions
• Your high emotional intelligence, conflict resolution skills, and clarity in communication make you strong
• You speak German fluently, English is your working language
