The Tax Senior Specialist is responsible for overseeing all tax-related activities, including direct, indirect taxes, and other financial matters related to the company’s operations in Mexico. This role will work closely with the Finance Department, as well as other departments, to ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations. Key responsibilities include: • Providing expert advice on tax-related matters to various stakeholders within the organization. • Developing and implementing effective tax strategies that minimize risks and maximize benefits for the company. • Collaborating with internal teams to identify and address potential tax issues before they become major problems. • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all tax-related activities, including financial statements, tax returns, and other relevant documents. • Staying current with changes in local tax laws and regulations, and ensuring that the company is compliant with these changes. • Providing guidance and support to employees on tax-related matters, such as expense reporting and reimbursement processes. • Developing and maintaining relationships with external partners, including tax consultants, auditors, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in taxation, preferably with experience working in Mexico or another Latin American country. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required, as well as a professional certification such as the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA). Fluency in Spanish and English is essential for this role.
