Senior Tax Manager (Group Tax Officer) (m/f/d)

As a Senior Tax Manager, you will support our Finance team in managing all tax-related matters for the Westwing Group. You will be responsible for preparing group tax reporting according to HGB and IFRS, overseeing the income tax returns of German group companies, and actively driving exciting tax operations and digitalization projects. This position is permanent, and the work location is Munich.

• Independent calculation of current and deferred taxes for the consolidated financial statements according to HGB and IFRS (IAS 12), including ETR reconciliation and preparation of all relevant notes (Tax Notes) within the scope of the Fast Close process.
• Professional preparation of current income tax returns for German group companies.
• Professional communication with tax authorities and active management of tax audits.
• Participation in and assumption of tasks in tax projects, e.g., familiarization with special topics of income tax law, involvement in Tax CMS, and optimization of interfaces in tax workflows.
• Close exchange with internal departments of the group (Accounting, Controlling, Legal, FinTech) as well as coordination of external tax advisors in Germany and abroad.

• Successfully completed studies in business administration, law with a focus on tax law, or a comparable qualification (passing the tax advisor examination is a plus, but not a requirement).
• At least five years of practical professional experience within a group tax department or comparable role in a Big Four or medium-sized tax consulting firm.
• In-depth and practically tested knowledge of German income tax law (e.g., Organschaften, loss utilization) as well as tax accounting according to HGB and IFRS (especially IAS 12).
• Enjoyment of tax project work, affinity for digital tax processes, and the willingness to delve deeply into new income tax topics.
• Solution-oriented, structured, and independent way of working in a dynamic environment with the ambition to drive topics independently.
• Proficiency in German and English, as well as experienced use of common ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft BC, LucaNet) and tax reporting tools.
