Senior Systems & Network Engineer (80–100%)

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Senior Systems & Network Engineer (80–100%) with immediate effect.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, further development, and documentation of system and network architectures for plants and systems in the supply and disposal, energy supply, and industrial sectors.

• Model-based system development and application of MBSE methods (e.g., SysML/UML) for structured description and further development of complex systems.

• Integration and coordination of hardware, software, and communication components into holistic system solutions.

• Creation and further development of network, security, and system concepts with a focus on stability, security, scalability, and long-term operation.

• Configuration, integration, commissioning, and testing of network and system components in projects and operating environments.

• Planning and execution of validation, verification, and laboratory, automated, and field tests.

• Requirements engineering and ensuring traceability throughout the entire system lifecycle.

• Application and further development of development and integration processes, for example, according to the V-model or agile methodologies.

• Operation, support, and targeted assistance for customer systems and network infrastructures within the scope of projects and service deployments.

• Analysis and resolution of complex system, network, and security problems in the 2nd and 3rd level environment.

• Technical support for project management and pre-sales, especially for solution concepts, system architectures, network designs, and quotations.

• Coaching, knowledge transfer, and support for colleagues on technical issues.

Your Qualifications

• Completed studies at a University of Applied Sciences (HF/FH), Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), or university in computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, systems engineering, or a related technical field, or a comparable qualification.

• Several years of relevant professional experience in systems engineering, network engineering, or system integration, ideally 5–8 years.

• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, IPsec, and firewall technologies.

• Experience with network and security solutions, for example, from Fortinet, Cisco, or Arista.

• Good knowledge of system architecture, modeling, and MBSE, ideally with SysML, UML, or Model-Based Design.

• Experience in requirements engineering, traceability, as well as validation and verification.

• Knowledge of testing methods and preferably test automation.

• Understanding and practical experience with agile development processes, V-model, or classic development models.

• Experience with quality standards and regulatory requirements is an advantage.

• Further training and certifications in networking, security, or systems engineering are an advantage, e.g., Cisco or Fortinet certifications.

• Valid driver's license category B and willingness to undertake assignments for customers in German-speaking Switzerland.

• Very good German language skills, both written and spoken, and good reading comprehension.

• A careful, structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach to work.

• Enjoy understanding, structuring, and transforming complex technical contexts into practical solutions.
