To strengthen our expert team at our client in the defense industry, we are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer – Power Electronics (m/f/x) as a permanent employee at K-tronik. Responsibilities:
- You analyze stakeholder requirements, platform specifications, and existing system solutions and derive complete, consistent, and verifiable requirements from them
- The coordination of functional, electrical, mechanical, environmental, as well as reliability and maintenance requirements is also part of your area of responsibility
- You define and control the interfaces to the guided missile platform, to adjacent subsystems, and to test equipment
- Based on the system requirements, you develop the system architecture, are responsible for the functional allocation of system functions, and create the corresponding technical budgets
- To create well-founded decision-making bases, you conduct trade-off analyses and evaluate different solution approaches regarding performance, risks, lifecycle costs, qualification requirements, and supply security
- In doing so, you maintain requirements, justifications, and assumptions and ensure their continuous bidirectional traceability throughout the entire development cycle
- To ensure successful system integration, you define verification strategies and coordinate integration and qualification planning across multiple specialist areas
- In addition, you evaluate changes, deviations, and non-conformities regarding their impact on the overall system
Qualifications:
- Completed degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable field, or a corresponding apprenticeship
- You have several years of professional experience in systems engineering for complex, multidisciplinary products
- Furthermore, you have sound knowledge in requirements engineering, interface management, system architecture, and verification planning
- Ideally, you have already gained experience with requirements management or modeling tools
- Your strengths include structuring complex and ambiguous situations and communicating across departments and organizations
- A meticulous and methodical approach to handling traceability, configuration management, risk management, change management, and technical documentation characterizes you
- Experience in the aviation or defense industry as well as in other regulated development environments is particularly welcome. Ideally, you also have knowledge of relevant safety standards, environmental qualifications, and military standards, such as MIL-STD-882E, DO-254, DO-160, or DIN EN 61508
- For collaboration in an international environment, you have very good English skills; German language skills are an advantage
- Willingness for occasional business travel
