Senior System Administrator (m/w/d)

We are looking for an experienced Senior System Administrator to join a modern production company in Karlsruhe. You will be responsible for leading and implementing IT projects, as well as overseeing the development of our entire IT landscape.

Tasks

• Leadership and implementation of IT projects such as introducing new tools and developing existing systems
• Administration of a modern IT infrastructure (including Firewalls, VMware, Veeam, Baramundi, Sophos)
• Co-shaping the IT security strategy (network segmentation, NAC, EDR/NDR, NextGen firewalls; onboarding possible)
• Support and expansion of cloud services (Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Azure, AWS)
• Development and maintenance of the Windows system landscape (AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP)
• Collaboration with IT leadership and team, active introduction of personal ideas
• Support in 2nd-level support and steering external service providers

Qualification

• Completed IT training or study or comparable qualification
• In-depth experience in administering Windows systems (AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP)
• Knowledge of virtualization (VMware), backup (Veeam) and cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, M365)
• Interest in IT security and modern security concepts
• First-hand experience in IT project leadership is advantageous
• Structured, independent working style as well as team and communication strength
