Tasks

• Responsibility for the stable, secure, and high-availability operation of the Linux infrastructure as well as its continuous optimization and development
• Administration and development of Linux systems, virtualization environments (Proxmox) and container platforms (Docker, LXC), including performance and capacity management
• Conceptualization and implementation of backup, recovery, and business continuity strategies, ensuring the recoverability of critical business data
• Implementation and monitoring of IT security measures, vulnerability management, system hardening, and identity and access management (OpenLDAP)
• Documented system landscapes, processes, and emergency concepts as well as technical consulting and close cooperation with internal departments and project teams

Qualification

• Completed studies in computer science or equivalent training in the IT sector
• Professional experience of at least 3-4 years in administering Linux infrastructures and operating virtualization (Proxmox) and container solutions (Docker, LXC)
• Knowledge of modern file systems and network services (ZFS, NFS, SMB), backup and recovery concepts, as well as network security and OpenLDAP
• A working style characterized by analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and self-responsible action
• Ideal experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines as well as administering and hardening web servers (Apache, Nginx) and mail servers (Postfix)
