Senior System Administrator - AWS Focus (m/f/d), Home Office or Office

Responsibilities

• Your focus is on the secure, stable, and high-performance operation of our AWS infrastructure. You will manage and optimize it and develop it further together with our team based on proven best practices.

• You will administer and optimize our AWS hosting environment with services such as EC2, RDS, S3, and other cloud components.

• You will optimize the performance and scalability of our hosting infrastructure and further develop our measures for availability, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery.

• You will administer our Microsoft 365 environment with Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Teams, including Teams telephony.

• You will manage user accounts, end devices, access rights, and permissions, and support the technical processes during employee onboarding, changes, and departures.

• You will further develop our IT security concepts and consistently implement security policies, access controls, and measures to protect our systems and data.

• You will analyze technical problems, develop sustainable solutions, and automate recurring administration tasks.

• You will evaluate configurations and architectural decisions based on proven best practices and document technical decisions, configurations, and operating procedures comprehensibly.

• You will process technical customer questionnaires regarding infrastructure, IT security, and operations, and formulate precise, understandable answers in coordination with the responsible departments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, training as an IT specialist for system integration, or comparable knowledge and qualifications

• Several years of in-depth professional experience in the administration of professional cloud and IT infrastructures

• In-depth knowledge of the AWS Well-Architected Framework and experience in the practical application of its architectural and operational principles. Experience in independently managing production web applications

• Extensive experience with performance optimization, scaling, monitoring, as well as backup and recovery concepts

• Very good knowledge in the administration of Microsoft 365, especially Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Teams

• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working, as well as the ability to make well-founded decisions and implement improvements independently

• Team spirit and interest in new technologies and subject areas

• Very good German and English language skills
