Senior System Engineer Microsoft 365 and Automation (m/f/d)

We are looking for support for our Hamburg location as soon as possible from a Senior System Engineer Microsoft 365 and Automation (m/f/d) with responsibility for the operation, further development, and automation of our Microsoft 365, Azure, and identity environments.

You will manage our Microsoft 365 platform as well as the associated hybrid identity and directory services. Furthermore, you will analyze and automate manual processes, support technical projects, and play a central role in the structured resolution of complex system, synchronization, and authorization problems.

• Operation and further development of Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID as well as administration of hybrid identity and directory services, including synchronization and authorizations
• Administration of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and Exchange – On-Premises as well as Online – including mail flow, connectors, and migrations
• Conception and maintenance of MFA and Conditional Access policies
• Analysis and automation of manual processes with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and REST APIs
• Development and documentation of scripts and workflows for the user lifecycle as well as connection of HR, directory, and specialist systems via interfaces
• Analysis and resolution of complex synchronization, authentication, and authorization problems as well as taking over 3rd-level support
• Planning, management, and technical implementation of IT projects and migrations as well as coordination of internal stakeholders, external service providers, and manufacturers
• Creation and maintenance of technical operational and emergency documentation as well as technical support for less experienced team members

• Several years of experience in the administration of Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID
• In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, hybrid identity environments, and Exchange
• Very good PowerShell skills as well as experience with Microsoft Graph and REST APIs
• Experience in planning and executing migration projects
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working
• Strong communication skills in exchanges with specialist departments, manufacturers, and service providers
• Knowledge in Exchange hybrid scenarios, SQL, LDAP, PKI, or other programming languages as well as experience in Incident, Change, and Problem Management according to ITIL are desirable
• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form, at least at C1 level or equivalent, ensuring reliable internal communication
