Senior System Engineer / Infrastructure Specialist (m/f/d)

• Infrastructure Backbone: Together with your team, you will take operational responsibility for our entire server landscape – from shared hosting systems (Linux Debian / Apache) and vServers to dedicated servers.
• Automation & Setup: Together with your team, you will actively drive the expansion, further development, and configuration management of our systems using Ansible and modern container technologies (Docker).
• Performance & Stability: Together with your team, you will manage monitoring (ICINGA2), set up Proxmox virtualizations, and ensure the high availability and security of our mail server architecture (Postfix/Dovecot).
• System Maintenance: Maintenance, security updates, and proactive patch management are your and your team's responsibility.
• Process Organization: You will efficiently structure technical tasks and projects using our ticketing system (Jira).

• Hosting Excellence: Several years of in-depth professional experience in the relevant web hosting environment and a deep understanding of highly available hosting architectures.
• Professional Specialization: Very strong practical experience with ICINGA2, Proxmox virtualization, as well as orchestration and automation with Ansible.
• Linux & Mail Stack: Senior-level expertise in Debian-based Linux distributions, as well as experience in setting up and operating mail server infrastructures (Dovecot/Proxmox Mail Gateway).
• Network & Containers: Solid basic knowledge of network technologies, routing, and handling container standards like Docker.
• Methodology & Language: Routine working method with Jira, fluent German for internal team communication, and good technical English.
• Working Style & Soft Skills: High degree of reliability, strong sense of personal responsibility, and the flexibility to quickly adapt to new technical challenges.
• Language Proficiency: Fluent German in speaking and writing for precise internal communication, as well as good technical English.
