What Defines Us

• You will support clients from medium-sized businesses to large enterprises, accompanying solutions from technical conception to stable operation.
• You will focus primarily on network and firewall topics, especially in the Sophos environment, but as a generalist, you will also be at home with adjacent infrastructure and Microsoft technologies.
• You will take on technical responsibility and be given the freedom to develop and implement solutions independently.
• You will work in a diverse environment where classic IT infrastructure, cloud, automation, and AI are increasingly merging.

Responsibilities

• You will design, implement, and optimize sophisticated network and firewall infrastructures, particularly in the Sophos environment.
• You will be responsible for IT infrastructure projects from requirements analysis and solution architecture to implementation and handover to stable operation.
• You will maintain and further develop Microsoft-based system landscapes, especially Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, and Active Directory.
• You will analyze complex technical incidents, perform root cause analyses, and take responsibility for technical escalations.
• You will advise clients at eye level and support sales with technical concepts, client discussions, effort estimations, and proposals.
• You will evaluate new technologies, further develop standards and best practices, and support colleagues with demanding technical questions.

Qualifications

• You have at least five years of relevant professional experience as a System Engineer, Network Engineer, or in a comparable infrastructure role, ideally in a system house or with a Managed Service Provider.
• You possess sound knowledge in the planning, implementation, and support of professional network and firewall infrastructures.
• You have practical experience with Sophos firewalls or comparable enterprise firewall solutions, as well as with routing, switching, VLAN, VPN, and WLAN.
• You bring broad knowledge in the Microsoft environment, especially in Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Active Directory, and Windows-based system landscapes.
• You see yourself as an infrastructure generalist and, in addition to your focus on network and firewall, also take responsibility for adjacent cloud, security, and system topics.
• You work independently, in a structured and quality-oriented manner, communicate confidently with clients, and can explain complex technical contexts understandably.
