Senior Surveyor - Taranaki ( 2 year Fixed Term )

Description Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity We have an exciting 2-year fixed-term opportunity for an experienced Senior Surveyor to join our high-performing team in Taranaki. With a variety of civil infrastructure projects underway, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate and reliable surveying services that ensure our projects meet quality, safety, and programme requirements. As a senior team member, you’ll lead by example - providing technical guidance, mentoring junior surveyors, and ensuring the team operates efficiently and effectively. Key Responsibilities: * Undertake a full range of survey activities, including setting out, topographical surveys, and as-built surveys. * Manage and coordinate survey activities on site, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications. * Ensure the accuracy and integrity of survey data and deliverables. * Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery. * Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior surveyors, fostering their professional development. * Maintain a strong focus on health and safety, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures. * Utilise survey equipment and software proficiently, including GPS, total stations, and CAD software. * Prepare and maintain detailed survey records and reports. What You’ll Bring: * Proven experience as a Surveyor, with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience. * A Bachelor's degree in Surveying or a related field. * Registration as a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor (LCS) or eligibility for registration is highly desirable. * Strong knowledge of surveying principles, practices, and techniques. * Experience in civil infrastructure projects is advantageous. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Proficiency in survey equipment and software, such as Trimble and AutoCAD.
