Senior Structural Engineer – Cape Town (Ref CT0120) We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to lead and deliver multidisciplinary structural engineering projects across both civil and building sectors—from concept and feasibility through detailed design, procurement, construction, and close-out. The successful applicant will need to provide technical leadership, mentor the project team, manage stakeholders, ensure quality, safety, and compliance with South African codes/standards, and drive project success. Key Responsibilities: * Lead the structural design and analysis of projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. * Manage project teams, providing guidance and technical expertise. * Prepare and review structural designs, calculations, and reports. * Collaborate with other disciplines (e.g., architects, civil engineers, and mechanical engineers) to ensure integrated designs. * Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources. * Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. * Oversee construction activities and provide site support. * Identify and mitigate project risks. * Contribute to business development and proposal preparation. * Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices. Qualifications: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering. * Professional registration (Pr.Eng) with ECSA is essential. * Minimum of 8 years of post-graduate experience in structural engineering, with a focus on building projects. * Proven experience in leading and managing projects from concept to completion. * Strong technical skills in structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, Revit). * In-depth knowledge of South African building codes and standards. * Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
