We are looking for a Senior Strategy & Innovation Manager (m/w/d) .

The Machine Room is the shared transformation ecosystem of German medium-sized and family-owned companies, to better understand and shape future themes together. Together with our over 80 member companies like Dussmann, Melitta, Sennheiser, Vorwerk, and Viessmann, the Machine Room drives the transformation of organizations by sharing experiences, knowledge, skills, and resources systematically forward. Originating from the transformation experience of the Viessmann Group is the Machine Room a neutral platform for the middle class.

The Machine Room Advisory is an important pillar of the overall company. As a small, experienced team, we accompany our member companies in terms of innovation and strategy topics – whenever individual needs arise. In addition, we conceptualize and accompany so-called Co-Creation Programs, in which selected member companies develop solutions for current challenges together.

What you will achieve

As Senior Strategy & Innovation Manager (m/w/d), you will develop and accompany the conceptualization, budgeting, and implementation of projects and workshops with a clear focus on strategy and innovation topics.

This means specifically:

• You lead strategy and innovation projects: From developing forward-looking corporate strategies and identifying new business fields to implementing transformative initiatives and moderating collaborative Co-Creation formats.
• Offer development: You develop new strategic and innovative offer formats, ensure methodological excellence, and are responsible for the further development of our tools, frameworks, and quality standards.
• Strategic program or project management: You prepare decision-making grounds and ensure the sustainable implementation through clear roadmaps, KPIs, and governance structures.
• Moderation: You enjoy moderating workshops, panels, and trainings and are able to adapt to different target groups.
• Process responsibility: You take over responsibility for the entire process – from the first inquiry and project planning to implementation and follow-up, and accompany our member companies even beyond the project.
• Stakeholder management: You take over project management and stakeholder communication for strategic and transformative initiatives.

You enjoy working in a small, dynamic consulting team where everyone packs and thinks together. You are open to new things, work conscientiously, and want to use your skills to bring our vision into reality.

In addition, you bring the following qualifications:

• Professional experience: You have at least four years of relevant experience in demanding environments like agency, consulting houses, strategy or innovation departments.
• Innovation focus: You bring a solid perspective on modern innovation topics – whether focused on new business models, digital technologies, or innovation culture.
• Methodological competence: You possess strong conceptual skills, work structured, and have experience in leading and moderating workshops.
• KI affinity: You actively follow the developments in the field of artificial intelligence and are enthusiastic about integrating new AI tools and methods into strategy, innovation, and project work. Ideally, you could already gather some practical experience in applying AI-supported solutions, but this is not a must-have. What's more important is your proactive curiosity and ability to creatively use AI-based solutions for our challenges.
