We are looking for you to join us at the earliest possible time as (Senior) Specialist Payroll (w/m/d), preferably at our location in Au bei Freiburg or potentially also Frankfurt, on a full-time and unlimited basis.

With clearer processes, new provider structure, and more automation.

To achieve this, we are looking for an experienced person who brings operational excellence and at the same time has a desire to actively improve things.

Tasks

  • Sole responsibility for creating monthly salary and wage statements taking into account statutory, tariff-based, and company-specific regulations.
  • Maintenance and administration of personnel data as well as absence and time management data.
  • Contact person for employees and executives in all matters related to payroll (e.g. taxes, social security, pension planning).
  • Collaboration with authorities, social insurance providers, and external partners including notification and certification procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with current tax, social security, and labor law regulations.
  • Support in annual closing activities as well as creation of evaluations, reports, and statistics.
  • Active participation in the further development of our payroll, particularly in the context of process optimizations, provider structure, and automation.

Qualification

  • Degree in accounting or a related field (e.g. bookkeeper, tax consultant, or equivalent).
  • Multiple years of experience in payroll.
  • Structured, independent, and reliable working style.
  • High sense of responsibility and excellent organizational skills.
  • Flexibility and resilience in a dynamic environment.
  • Safe handling of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint etc.).
  • Experience with common payroll systems (e.g. HRworks, DATEV, Personio or equivalent).
  • Very good German language skills (at least C1 level).
