Senior Specialist External Trade & Export Control Law (m/w/d)

We are currently looking for someone for an internationally successful industrial company:

You will take over the professional leadership in all matters related to export control and external trade law - from strategic conception to operational implementation. You develop processes, set standards, and are the central point of contact for compliance and international goods flows.

Your Tasks at a Glance:

• You ensure legally compliant import and export as well as transportation of goods, technologies, and software.
• You design and support export and compliance processes, including risk analyses and internal audits.
• You classify goods, technologies, and software according to external trade regulations.
• You request and implement the necessary permits (national & international).
• You advise interface teams on dual-use, sanctions, embargos, US re-export, etc.
• You cooperate with authorities, suppliers, customers, and supports inspections in the external trade area.

Requirements

• A completed degree (e.g. business administration, logistics, law) or comparable qualification.
• Multiple years of professional experience in the field of external trade or export control law - ideally in an industrial company with international focus.
• In-depth knowledge of German and European export control law.
• Deep knowledge of goods classification, preference law, and ideally CBAM.
• Very good German and good English skills; confident handling ERP systems.
• Analytical thinking, structured working style, and sense of responsibility.
