About the function

As a Senior Sourcing Specialist Indirect Services, you are responsible for the (European) tendering of services that are in direct contact with our passengers and for the Schiphol group such as its employees. Together with the business, you align needs and guide the tender from A to Z. And how you approach this? That is up to you. We trust the way you can work with concentration and attention. You will use your talents in:

• consulting the market and developing market knowledge within your own category. You provide input for creating and developing category plans.
• drafting single and multi-stage negotiated tenders and executing them.
• working independently on European tenders and providing support for complex tenders if necessary.
• ensuring sustainable relationships with your suppliers, which you shape and give content to together with the contract manager and business owner. We collaborate with our suppliers on the basis of equality, a common goal, and a win-win basis.

As a Senior Sourcing Specialist Indirect Services, you form the link between the Schiphol departments and the supplier market. You are a conversation partner at various levels and know how to convince and "challenge" through your persistent personality and strong communication skills. You also pay attention to the long-term relationship. You select suppliers and conclude contracts that maximally contribute to the "Top Performance Indicators" and our objectives throughout their entire term. Think of a European tender for MSP service provision or workwear, but there are also plenty of challenges to grow into in Workplace Management.

• at least 2 years of experience in the procurement of service contracts that contribute to the primary processes of the organization.
• a completed Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• experience with European tenders within your area of responsibility.
• good communication, relational, and analytical skills.
• excellent command of the Dutch language.

• € 4852 to € 6755 gross per month (scale 11).

Procurement & Contracting

The Procurement & Contract Management (P&C) department at Schiphol works closely with internal customers to optimize demand, specifications, price, and costs. The department consists of six category teams and an Excellence Center. P&C focuses on the professionalization of procurement and contract management, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and innovation. By collaborating with suppliers, P&C aims to contribute to accelerating sustainable developments and improving the quality of services at the airport.
