Senior Software Test Engineer | Full-time or Part-time | Hybrid with regular presence in Dresden
Job description
At Connected Consumables, it is our mission to transform cancer treatment through innovative medical technologies – for safer, more efficient, and better accessible infusion therapies. As part of our collaborative and agile team, you contribute to the development of effective products like Onctopus®, OnctoDose, and our Infusion Pump Interface. You play a central role in building robust test strategies and automation frameworks – and grow professionally and personally in a supportive and flexible work environment.

Tasks
- Conception, implementation, and continuous development of test strategies for functional and non-functional requirements
- Development and maintenance of automated tests for UI, APIs, and backend systems
- Planning, execution, and documentation of manual and automated tests throughout the entire development cycle
- Integration and optimization of test pipelines within CI/CD environments (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Identification, analysis, and tracking of errors in close cooperation with the development teams
- Participation in code reviews with a focus on testability, quality, and best practices
- Selection, introduction, and further development of modern test frameworks and tools
- Monitoring of test results and quality metrics to ensure transparency and continuous improvement
- Closely cooperate with cross-functional teams like frontend, hardware, and regulatory affairs
- Promote improvements in testing processes and quality assurance in the sense of a DevOps mindset
Qualification
- Multiple years of practical experience in backend software development
- Fundamental knowledge of test design techniques for functional and non-functional tests
- Fluent English skills for professional communication within the team
- Practical experience in automated testing across UI, API, and backend levels
- Experience with modern test frameworks and tools
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests
- Solid understanding of version control systems (e.g. Git) as well as experience with code reviews
- Collaborative mindset for cooperation across hardware and software boundaries
- High level of technical self-responsibility and quality awareness in code
- Analytical approach to solving complex architectural challenges
- Experience in developing medical devices/software is an asset
- Knowledge in software testing is the focus – if you also bring experience in hardware testing, that's a big plus
