Senior Software Engineer .NET (Full Stack) - Selectsoft

We are looking for a senior .NET engineer for the Romanian B2B ERP platform, 18 years on the market, used daily by over 2000 companies in Romania. A role where you work on architecture and decisions that matter, not on executing a list of tasks.

You will work in a small, competent, and stable team, on a system with real business logic and real users, with real technical ownership and decisions you can influence from day one.

This is not a "just add another endpoint to a microservice" role, it's an architecture and construction role, for someone who enjoys challenges and complexity.

What do you have to do here?

You will be a Senior Software Engineer .NET for the core product team, at a time when we are investing seriously in the architecture and technology of our platform. In this role you will:

• Contribute to the target architecture decision - layered / clean / DDD / etc.
• Design and implement the main modules (in .NET, EF Core, SQL / PostgreSQL).
• Collaborate closely with the existing team
• Contribute to the .NET know-how transfer and Best Practices
• Participate in technical discussions with large clients - to validate the approach and integration.
• Contribute to the incremental release plan - module by module, into production, with controlled risk.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a true team player with a solid technical profile and real experience in projects serving thousands of users in a production environment. The following are the requirements we consider essential for the role:

Must-have

• Minimum 6 years of professional software development experience. Ideally 8+ years
• Expert C# / .NET, with real production experience
• ASP.NET Web APIs
• Solid experience with at least one UI framework from the .NET ecosystem (WPF, Avalonia, etc.)
• Entity Framework Core - migrations, performance tuning, complex mappings.
• Advanced knowledge in database design, management, and optimization (SQL Server/PostgreSQL/MySQL) - schema design, indexing, query performance, stored procedures, data migrations.
• OOP, SOLID, Software Architecture - practical experience in using and applying architectural patterns adapted to the functional requirements for the developed solutions.
• Testing - unit + integration testing (xUnit/NUnit/Moq)
• Git + CI/CD
• API design - modern REST (versioning, JWT/OAuth2 authentication, OpenAPI standard).
• Communication: fluent Romanian, technical English, ability to present and support architecture decisions to clients and to transfer knowledge.
• Experience working in Agile teams (Scrum/Kanban)

Nice-to-have

• Real experience in migrating a legacy system to modern .NET.
• Docker + Azure / AWS / other cloud - especially for the SaaS version of the product.
• Message queues (RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, Kafka).
• Experience with software development organization tools (Jira, Monday, etc.)
• Experience in B2B domains: ERP, POS, CRM, Accounting, Finance, Retail, HoReCa, Manufacturing.
• Experience with applications in daily use by many clients: production updates, data structure modifications on real data, without regressions.
