Senior Software Engineer - Map Creator

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer in Map Creator, you will be driving the development of backend services and data pipelines that underpin the construction of high-definition maps essential for our Autonomous Vehicles. You will be responsible for handling and maintaining mapping datasets, construction of semantic maps, setting the technical direction for efficient map data access, and mentoring the engineering team. What you’ll be doing: Design, and lead the implementation of scalable backend services using Java or Python; develop and maintain APIs to support various data pipelines; collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new features and technologies; contribute to the development of a robust and scalable architecture for our mapping platform; mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance as needed. What we’re looking for: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a senior role; strong understanding of Java, Python, or other programming languages; experience with data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns; excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently; strong communication and collaboration skills.
