Senior Software Engineer Machine Learning - MLOps

About the role Within Tesco Data & Analytics, we help our customers and the communities where we operate get the most value from data. We build and run Tesco’s data platforms, we architect and engineer data onto these platforms, provide capabilities and tools to the analytics community across Tesco, and develop data products at scale. Our Data Science teams are involved in a broad range of projects, spanning across supply chain, logistics, store and online. These include projects in the areas of demand forecasting, pricing, customer lifetime value, search and recommendations. You will be part of a team responsible for building and maintaining machine learning pipelines, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and efficient. You will work closely with data scientists, software engineers and product managers to deliver high-impact data products. What you will do * Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and pipelines. * Implement MLOps best practices to automate model training, deployment, and monitoring. * Collaborate with data scientists to understand model requirements and translate them into scalable production systems. * Write high-quality, maintainable, and testable code. * Monitor the performance of machine learning models and pipelines, and troubleshoot issues. * Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in machine learning and MLOps. * Contribute to the continuous improvement of our MLOps platform and processes. * Ensure that all machine learning solutions comply with data privacy and security regulations. What you will need * Experience with Python and related data science libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas, numpy). * Experience with machine learning model deployment and management (e.g., Kubeflow, MLflow, Seldon Core). * Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure). * Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). * Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. * Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including design patterns, testing, and code reviews. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills. * Experience with SQL and relational databases. * Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
