Senior Software Engineer - Java, Kafka & Integration

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be a central part of our development team, actively shaping sophisticated, business-critical software solutions. Your focus will be on modern, scalable architectures, processing very high data volumes, and sustainable software quality. You will not only contribute your technical expertise but also support the team in continuously developing solutions and development processes.

Tasks:

• As a full team member, you will work on the further development of complex solutions with a focus on Java, Kafka, and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch

• You will be actively involved in the implementation and act as a role model for high software quality, particularly concerning Clean Code, test coverage, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

• You will integrate the developed solutions company-wide and provide APIs and interfaces for other components and systems

• You will develop solutions for processing very high data volumes, in both real-time and batch scenarios

• You will support the team in continuously improving the development process and ensuring reliable, high-quality delivery of solutions

Requirements:

• You are an experienced software developer and designer with in-depth expertise in modern software development, microservices, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

• You possess demonstrable integration competence and have successfully worked on integration projects

• You bring in-depth knowledge of Kafka and ideally Elasticsearch or OpenSearch

• As a generalist, you are at home in all layers of a solution and can assess technical interrelationships holistically

• You develop with enthusiasm in Java and/or Go and place great importance on Clean Code and sustainable software quality

• You are familiar with modern cloud-based architectures and solutions, ideally in the context of a private cloud

• Nice to have: Additional experience with Angular is an advantage.

• Duration: long-term, first contract until the end of the year

• Workload: 80-100%

• 1 day on-site in the Olten area (Thursday)
