Senior Software Engineer

About the Role (your why) We know Payroll and have been processing payroll accurately and compliantly for over 50 years. The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for applying effective analysis, design, programming and testing skills to produce software systems. This role involves collaborating with the development team to design, develop, test and maintain software systems. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of software development life cycles, including Agile methodologies. They will also have experience with software development tools and technologies, including but not limited to: Java, Python, C#, .NET, SQL, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, and other relevant tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. They will also have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness and attention to detail.
