We are looking for a motivated Senior Software Engineer!

Aufgaben

You will take on a key role in the further development of a communication simulator for a demanding development project in the field of high-precision diagnostic and monitoring systems.

Your tasks include:

Analyzing and evaluating existing simulation and communication architectures

Conducting GAP analyses based on technical specifications and requirements

Designing and implementing communication models according to the ISO/OSI layer model (Layers 2-7)

Developing and expanding network, transport, session, and application layers

Implementing routing, addressing, error, and timeout mechanisms

Developing parameterizable simulation components and communication scenarios

Defining and implementing interfaces (APIs) for connecting further system components

Creating and conducting unit tests and supporting quality assurance

Techincal documentation of architecture, modules, and interfaces

Participating in architecture reviews and technical alignments

Qualifikation

Must-have Skills

• Mehrjährige Erfahrung in der Softwareentwicklung mit Python *
  Sehr gute Kenntnisse in objektorientierter Programmierung (OOP) *
  Fundiertes Verständnis von Netzwerkprotokollen und Kommunikationsarchitekturen *
  Gute Kenntnisse in TCP/IP *
  Erfahrung mit State Machines und ereignisgesteuerten Systemen

Erfahrung in asynchroner Programmierung (Async Programming) *
Kenntnisse in Softwarearchitektur und modularem Softwaredesign

Strukturierte und analytische Arbeitsweise

Sehr gute Deutsch- oder Englischkenntnisse

Nice-to-have Skills

• Erfahrung mit SimPy *
  Erfahrung mit NetworkX *
