Senior Software Engineer @ VGW

As a Senior Engineer, you will focus on developing the back end of a new platform system that will host millions of players. This role centres on building the customer segmentation system, offering you the opportunity to tackle unique, large-scale challenges in a dynamic environment. Experience with AWS cloud services (MSK, S3, CloudFront, RDS, Aurora, EKS) and Kubernetes for infrastructure automation; Proficiency in Java or Kotlin for backend development; Experience with Terraform (some basic cloud formation experience is acceptable) for infrastructure as code. You'll work closely with other engineers to deliver the best possible outcome for our players. Responsibilities: * Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for a new platform. * Write clean, well-documented, and testable code. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, QA) to understand requirements and deliver features. * Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality. * Troubleshoot and resolve production issues. * Participate in the on-call rotation. Skills and Experience: * 5+ years of experience in software development. * Strong proficiency in Java or Kotlin. * Experience with AWS cloud services (MSK, S3, CloudFront, RDS, Aurora, EKS). * Experience with Kubernetes for infrastructure automation. * Experience with Terraform (or other IaC tools). * Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL). * Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra). * Experience with message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ). * Experience with RESTful API design and development. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
