Senior Software Engineer @ HSBC Technology Poland

What you need to have to succeed in this role 10 years of experience in developing and implementing software solutions using Java, Microservices, API and 3rd party product integrations. Hands-on experience in translating user requirements into functional code, managing the full development life cycle (SDLC) from design to production. Strong knowledge and experience in back-end technologies: Microservice architecture, Java 17/21/25, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Integration and Rest APIs. Experience with Agile methodologies and version control systems like Git. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving skills, ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Strong understanding of software development life cycle, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, maintenance and continuous improvement. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and GitLab CI/CD. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Experience in working with various databases: relational (e.g., MySQL), NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) and cloud-based (e.g., AWS Aurora).
